Project Manager – Midlands
Location: Greater Midlands area
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + 10% Bonus + Car Allowance (added to salary) + EV Scheme (Post-Probation 6 months)
Contract Option: £400-450 per day (CIS, 6-month contract possible)
Overview:
Our client, a growing and ambitious ICP, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple projects in the Midlands region. These roles are ideal for those with a strong electrical ICP background and solid experience in power and new utility connections. The successful candidates will manage cradle-to-grave projects, working closely with the construction teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
About the Role:
● Location: Ideally home-to-site with flexible working, including two days a week from home or office. Monthly in-person meetings with the leadership team and other departments at HQ in Surrey.
● Projects: Overseeing 20+ ongoing and legacy projects, including ICP residential new connections and framework new connection contracts.
● Key Responsibilities:
○ Managing project budgets and delivering projects on time and within scope using Microsoft Projects tool. Project values £2-£4 million total order book.
○ Overseeing a range of multi-utility new connections and power-related projects, ensuring high-quality delivery from pre-construction to completion.
○ Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects, with a focus on electrical ICP (but multi-utility experience considered).
○ Monitoring performance and maintaining accountability for project delivery.
● Team Support: A strong back-office team to support the PM, allowing project managers to focus on delivery.
Requirements:
● Experience: Extensive background in electrical ICP projects, ideally with experience in multi-utility new connection projects.
● Project Management: Hands-on experience managing full project life cycles, including budget management and using Microsoft Projects tool.
● Leadership: Ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and ensure successful project outcomes.
● Additional: Full driving license, flexible to travel across the region, and able to manage multiple projects effectively.
