Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Asset Surveyor to support our asset delivery team across potable and wastewater design and construction. This role involves reviewing wastewater scheme designs, conducting network site inspections, and ensuring quality and technical compliance for asset installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct potable and wastewater network site inspections, including pumping stations.
  •  Review wastewater design schemes, ensuring alignment with asset delivery standards.
  • Provide technical project support on strategic connection and discharge points.
  • Coordinate asset installations with incumbents, contractors, and developers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of asset inspection programs.
  • Assist in investigating operational events and provide detailed findings.
  • Ensure wastewater network connections align with project timelines.
  • Deliver high-quality work while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the design and approval process.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in Maths and Science; A-levels.
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • Current CSCS card.
  • Confined space training.

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Experience in the water industry, particularly within developer services or housing developments.
  • Expertise in the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of water/wastewater networks.
  • Strong understanding of current legislation, technical standards, and codes of practice.
  • Proven collaboration experience with contractors, developers, and incumbents.

Skills:

  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD).

Special Requirements:

This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, as it involves visiting customers' homes, in line with the company's policy.
