Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Design Engineer to create fit-for-purpose utility network designs, alongside providing detailed calculations and civil works specifications, to form comprehensive construction packs. This customer-facing role is crucial for delivering high-quality designs while supporting the growth of our business through customer satisfaction and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountability: Report to the Senior Design Engineer for project quality, customer service, and technical resolutions.

Utility Designs: Develop utility network designs as instructed by the Senior Design Engineer, ensuring compliance with business and customer needs.

Collaborate: Work closely with the Business Development team, ESOs, and Designers to meet tender, design, and construction requirements while adhering to project budgets and timelines.

Problem Solving: Creatively address resource and scheduling challenges to maintain project delivery while escalating issues when necessary.

Safety by Design: Promote a zero-harm culture and ensure compliance with HSEQ policies through active involvement in health and safety planning.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively manage HSEQ issues and near misses while fostering an accident-free work environment.

Qualifications:

Degree: Engineering or technical subject (BTEC or equivalent experience).

Professional Certification: Chartered or aspiring towards Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status.

Experience/Knowledge:

Knowledge of engineering principles and construction.

Experience working on development sites, including new utility connections.

Understanding of health and safety legislation.

Skills:

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
