Position Overview:
As a Multi Utility Stores/Delivery Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of utility network installations by delivering essential materials and equipment to on-site teams. You will also manage stock levels and maintain a well-organized store. Working closely with the planning and project management team, your focus will be on supporting the on-site teams for the installation of gas, water, and electric networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of gas, water, and electric infrastructure by delivering plant materials to various sites.
- Ensure the timely and safe delivery of utility-related equipment across multiple locations in all weather conditions.
- Manage the on-site stores, including stock levels and organization, to ensure materials are readily available for the teams.
- Keep all equipment and stores clean, safe, and in working order.
- Conduct risk assessments and follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers, site teams, and members of the public, providing professional service at all times.
- Assist on-site teams when required in tasks such as cable pulling and winching.
- Operate vehicles and equipment safely, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Full, clean UK driver’s license (Max 6 points).
- SHEA (Safety, Health, and Environmental Awareness) Gas, Water, and Power certification.
- Water Hygiene certification.
- Proficiency in using cable pulling equipment and winching.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think on your feet.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and confident use of departmental systems.
