As we continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineering Administrator to support our engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with a legal background or basic knowledge of NRSWA, looking to grow and develop their career in the utilities and engineering field.

Role Overview: 

As a Junior Engineering Administrator, you will assist the engineering and project teams with administrative tasks related to legal compliance and NRSWA requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, liaising with clients, contractors, and authorities, and ensuring smooth project administration. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in both legal and engineering aspects of utility projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to engineering teams, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of NRSWA permits and other legal documents.
  • Monitor and update databases for permits, legal agreements, and project documents.
  • Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and clients regarding permit applications, legal matters, and project requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal contracts, wayleaves, and easements as required for utility projects.
  • Track and manage timelines for permit applications, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Support with general administrative tasks such as data entry, report generation, and filing.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of NRSWA applications and compliance processes.
  • Escalate issues to senior team members when necessary and ensure prompt resolution.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role (construction, utilities, or legal sectors preferred).
  • Basic understanding of NRSWA regulations or experience with legal documentation.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Legal qualifications or relevant experience in a legal environment.
  • Experience with utility projects or NRSWA compliance processes.
  • Familiarity with permit application systems and processes.
