Role Overview
As a HV Electrical Fitter, you will work on various client sites to maintain transformers and switchgear, while also engaging in projects across the UK. Your duties will involve handling HV, LV, transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment, along with performing service and remedial work.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service HV, LV, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment.
  • Conduct electrical testing and fault diagnosis.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports and daily site reports.
  • Perform mechanical modifications and repairs.
  • Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to manufacturers’ standards.
  • Proactively identify and report equipment faults.
  • Test LV protection and generate precise reports of findings.
  • Install HV/LV panels and transformers according to manufacturers’ standards.

Requirements

  • BTEC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical power systems up to 33KV.
  • Strong understanding of transformers.
  • Practical experience as a HV Electrical Fitter.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of work on client sites.
  • Eligibility for SC/CTC clearance and ability to pass a DBS check.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
