Role Overview
In this role, you will work on various client sites maintaining transformers and switchgear while also participating in projects across the UK. Your responsibilities will include working on HV, LV, transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment, as well as performing service and remedial work.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and service HV, LV, transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment.
- Perform electrical testing and fault finding.
- Write detailed quality reports and daily site reports.
- Conduct mechanical modifications and repairs.
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to manufacturers’ standards.
- Proactively report faults in equipment.
- Test LV protection and generate accurate reports of results.
- Install HV/LV panels and transformers according to manufacturers’ standards.
Requirements
- BTEC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of electrical power systems up to 33KV.
- Good knowledge and understanding of transformers.
- Operational experience as a HV Electrical Fitter.
- Ability to work proactively both independently and in a team.
- Excellent workload prioritization skills.
- Ensure high standards of work on client sites.
- Ability to obtain SC/CTC clearance and pass a DBS check.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
