Role Overview
As a Site Manager, you will report to the Project Manager and manage client sites. Your role is crucial in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while meeting client specifications and requirements.
The company enjoys a long term framework contract with the DNO. Work involves helping to deliver 11kV - 132kV substation connections, maintenance and renewals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee electrical and mechanical installations as Principal Contractor.
- Supervise and direct project activities, ensuring client specifications are met.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, clients, and other construction professionals.
- Coordinate and supervise construction personnel.
- Conduct plant and equipment suitability checks.
- Ensure site safety through regular inspections and quality control procedures.
- Prepare site reports and update the site safety file.
- Conduct site inductions, fault finding, and problem solving.
- Assess and minimise risk on site.
Requirements
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme card
- First Aid at Work certification (or willingness to be trained).
- CSCS manager’s card.
- Previous site management experience in the utilities sector.
- Experience with CDM regulations and civil construction.
- Mechanical and Electrical or Construction industry background.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build excellent working relationships.
- Good time management and planning abilities.
