The Company

You will have the opportunity to join a successful Independent Connections Provider (ICP) who specialise in high voltage electrical and civil engineering projects. 

The company deals with a variety of LV and HV projects across the UK, ranging from 11kV to 132kV voltages in the renewable energy sector. 

The Role 

Your role will be to support the construction of projects as well supporting the Commercial Team. 

The ideal candidate will be able to form professional relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers and work closely with them to keep to timescales and budget requirements. 

You will also work closely on these projects with the Operations and Finance Directors. 

Responsibilities 

• Support and manage the site/projects and any based Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers;
• Review of monthly payment applications;
• Handle commercial negotiations with clients;
• Monitor completion of project milestones and ensuring these are completed in a timely manner;
• Liaise with the legal department to ensure subcontractors are in place as required;
• Challenge site progress and cost to completion; 
• Report to the board of directors with summary levels on each project.

Requirements 

• 5+ years of Construction Industry experience - within renewable sector is desirable;
• Stakeholder management experience;
• Have good commercial judgement and strong numeracy skills;
• Ability to challenge information provided;
• Ability to establish relationships with different members of the team and throughout the company as well. 

Desirable

• Advanced excel user;
• Knowledge of NEC3, IET, FIDIC or JCT contracts;
• Previous experience working for an ICP or developer on a renewable energy construction site;
• Experience dealing with blue chip companies.
