About the Role:
The client is seeking a proactive Electrical Design Engineer eager to contribute to their mission of ‘making lasting connections with their customers to improve their lives’.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Network demand calculations and design Points of Connection (POCs) from existing electric networks, offering technical solutions and quotations for 3rd party POC Applications.
- Perform Network export calculations to model embedded generation applications on existing electric networks, assessing and approving applications in line with Company Standards.
- Execute Network modelling for reinforcement designs, incorporating emerging technology as required.
- Collaborate with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), and other departments on all design aspects.
- Develop and implement processes for internal communication of technical and maintenance requirements for accepted projects.
About You:
- Technical qualification in engineering (Level 2 City & Guild or equivalent).
- Membership in a recognised engineering institution.
- Proficient in current Legislation, Electrical Standards & Specifications, and ENA Recommendations related to the client's electrical networks, with a focus on safe network management.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Experience in designing electricity distribution networks.
