Overview

Our client, a leading company in the utilities sector, is seeking experienced Site Managers and Supervisors to oversee Green Recovery substation construction and maintenance projects across Northern Scotland. This role involves managing site-based teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and timely installation of electrical power distribution and transmission systems from 400V to 132kV within the SSE North DNO region.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the installation and construction of ground-mounted and structure-mounted power system components, including cable systems, switchgear, transformers, busbars, and relay panels, in substations operating up to 132kV.

- Prepare and maintain site Health & Safety records, ensuring all activities meet safety standards and regulations.

- Order materials for the site and maintain accurate site progress reports and forecasts.

- Engage with customer representatives both on and off-site to ensure project specifications and timelines are met and exceeded.

- Actively participate in site tasks as required, contributing to the team’s operational effectiveness.

Requirements:

- **Experience:** Extensive experience working on High Voltage (HV) substation sites, with a proven track record in supervising staff and subcontractors.

- **Qualifications:** Electrically qualified, capable of performing electrical work on HV equipment.

- **Certifications:** SMSTS qualification is desirable. SSE authorizations (CAT 1, CAT 2 & CAT 3) are highly advantageous.
