This is a great opportunity to join a medium sized ICP which has been operating for over twenty years and that works in all DNO areas across the UK. Services range from design to installation and include electrical connections, multi-utility connections, street lighting and accompanying civils

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who is eager to further their career, designing LV/HV networks from a single metered connection up to 11kv substations to help design contestable connections for a broad range of end clients and industries. You’ll benefit from the support of an excellent team, an attentive line manager and a well distributed workload.

The ideal candidate will tender / estimate for the projects using Windebut, however full training will be provided. You will work closely with the civil design team as well as external clients, who you will be facing throughout projects - again, support from staff is available for client meetings etc.

You will be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and EXCEL.

Experience

• Technical knowledge of Electricity Network Construction
• Capable of looking at an Inquiry and ascertain what is required loading wise to provide a quick desktop design in order to get a quotation back to the client
• ICP/DNO/IDNO background - essential
• Understand the Competition in Connections requirements under Lloyds NERS Accreditation.
