Role Overview

The Company is seeking a motivated Street Lighting Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is central to overseeing street lighting contracts within the Midlands Region, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. 

The successful individual will work closely with both site and office teams, coordinating efforts to achieve excellence in project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the electrical Street Lighting teams daily, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Maintain adherence to current standards, conducting quality checks on all works.
  • Manage scheme sign-offs, including issuing Electrical test certificates to clients.
  • Oversee staffing within the team, including performance, development, leave management, and work scheduling.
  • Ensure the maintenance and monitoring of depot stock and vehicles to set standards.
  • Conduct site audits, providing leadership visibility to the workforce and subcontractors.
  • Represent The Company in client meetings, managing the issuance of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) as needed.
  • Supervise on-site and off-site staff health and safety, promoting a culture of safety and innovation.
  • Produce and present weekly performance reports to the Lighting Manager.

 

Requirements

  • Experience in managing street lighting contracts.
  • Ability to identify lanterns and components visually.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting working drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in meeting challenging performance targets.
  • Comprehensive understanding and application of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
