Role Overview
The Design & Tendering Manager, is pivotal in delivering multi-utility designs for new housing developments across Scotland and Northern England. You will lead a team to provide innovative, cost-effective designs for gas, electric, water, and fibre networks, ensuring compliance and meeting customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high customer satisfaction in the design and quotation processes.
- Innovate in design solutions to meet customer and internal requirements.
- Manage complex project quotations and designs.
- Conduct high-level customer interactions and site surveys.
- Lead and develop design teams, promoting employee engagement.
- Ensure designs are fit for purpose, compliant, and adhere to company standards.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including utility operators and local authorities.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of design-related software and processes.
Requirements:
- Recognised qualification in a related field, with a preference for registration as an Incorporated Engineer.
- Significant experience in utility network design and team leadership.
- Knowledge of current legislation and technical standards in utility design.
- Skilled in managing teams to deliver customer-focused service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Geographical Mapping Systems.
