Position Overview

The East of England region has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager within the Sales team. This role is more than just being part of a team; it's about being a key player in the company's expansion. The successful candidate will collaborate with a dynamic business development team, overcoming commercial hurdles and securing vital client commitments. This is a field-based role with the flexibility of remote working, offering a diverse and dynamic work environment.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop new connection opportunities across it's target client base of residential home builders, I&C businesses and EV charging.
  • Engage directly with customers through visits and communications to build rapport.
  • Assist in preparing competitive quotes and negotiations.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to achieve set business objectives.
  • Lead marketing initiatives and represent the company at various events for brand enhancement.
  • Conduct thorough market and competitor research to inform strategic sales planning.

 

Candidate Specifications:

  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales.
  • Preferably experienced in the electricity and gas network sectors although knowledge of fibre is also valuable.
  • Knowledge of new connection markets is advantageous.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in selling technical solutions and services effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, able to engage with clients at all levels.
