Gas Design Engineer

Our client, a renowned leader in the energy and utility sector, is in search of a Gas Designer with expertise in low/medium pressure. They are looking for a professional who can prepare technical gas designs and ensure that work is in alignment with industry standards, legislation, and current policies.

Responsibilities:

Preparing technical gas designs and quotations in accordance with codes of practice, legislation, and current policies and procedures.

Ensuring work is accurate to achieve projected profit margins and maintaining records to satisfy customers and legal requirements.

Keeping personal competence records up to date.

Preparing reports, providing support, and guiding operational teams, management, and customers on designs, quotations, sales, safety, and technical matters.

Assisting with the control of various commercial projects to meet time scales and projected profits.

Liaising with customers and representatives of other professional organisations such as architects and highway authorities as necessary.

Guiding and advising a small team of administrative support.

Carrying out site visits where appropriate.

Producing work to the required quality and standard within defined performance criteria and productivity measures.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Gas Designer, preferably with specialisation in low/medium pressure.

A solid understanding of industry codes of practice, legislation, and policies.

Strong communication and liaison skills.

Ability to guide and support a small administrative team.

Willingness to carry out site visits as needed.

A commitment to quality, safety, and achieving set performance targets.

Salary and Benefits:

£45,000 - £50,000
