A large independent connections provider who cover a wide range of exciting infrastructure sectors. They have successfully maintained strategic knowledge, delivery solutions and management of projects in order to improve footprints from Telecoms, Utilities, Highways and Civil Engineering.

The Role

The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting to the Head of People Development. You will be supplying fibre splicing and cabling training to ensure field-based operatives ascend their skills to the industry standard expected.

You will be required to ensure complete capability assessments and coaching nationwide.

On behalf of clients such as Openreach, Virgin Media and Vodafone, you will assist mobilisation of fully accredited gangs onto contracted works.

Responsibilities

• Inform training plans by implementing knowledge of Openreach and PIA accreditations
• Planning and organising training sessions to ensure qualifications of Operatives remain relevant to the work they are attaining
• Work alongside the Training Team to design and implement programmes which meet the requirements of the company
• Pre-training and Post-training to establish capability and provide constructive feedback to those who need to excel
• Perpetuate training records including accreditation documentation required by external accrediting bodies

Skills and Experience

• Previous Field Operative training experience working for a infrastructure contractor
• Knowledge of cable building, cabling overhead, and cabling underground
• Previous experience working on the BT network with exceptional knowledge of their network relegations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to the audiences’ needs effectively
• Flexibility to travel to various sites across the UK

Professional Qualifications

• NRSWA
• Current Openreach accreditations
• Full driver’s licence

Desirable Skills

• Openreach Lead Assessor status
• Recognised Assessor qualification e.g. TAQA
• PIA fibre accreditations
