The Role 

You’ll join the business as a graduate and be trained within the design sector of the business. You’ll learn about the different utility groups - water, gas, electrical, fibre, district-heating and EV - and develop your design knowledge too. 

Responsibilities: 

• Liaise with company clients to understand their requirements and constraints on their projects;
• Complete design work in line with client requirements and the company’s standards;
• Attend meetings with clients and other companies as required;
• Liaise with other departments and companies that they own to ensure safe construction of projects;
• Any other duties as required by the manager

Requirements: 

• Degree in engineering subject or equivalent;
• Knowledge in construction or utilities sector;
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into a drawing format;
• Knowledge/experience of design software e.g. AutoCAD, MATLAB, Solidworks, etc;
• Ability to use Microsoft office programmes or equivalent.
