Role Overview

Join a rapidly growing ICP and HV Contracting specialist just about to gain it’s IDNO licence.

Joining them as a Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the construction of electrical connections (11kV and 33kV) from inception to adoption across the South East. 

Clients here are varied and interesting - typical projects range from data centre connections to major mixed use developments.

 

Responsibilities

  • To undertake and fulfil all duties that are required to successfully deliver assigned projects throughout the Project Life Cycle from Customer Order receipt, planning, construction and build stages of the project, through to final adoption of the assets.
  • Ensuring compliance to safe working practices and procedures and that is completed to the required specifications and enforcing corrective actions where required.
  • Close co-ordination of all activities with the Customer and other third parties, such as Local Authorities. 
  • Delivery of the projects within project budget estimates including time and cost.
  • Identification and effective management of contract scope variations.
  • Management of direct and indirect labour.
  • Role of Qualified Supervisor in line with National Registration Scheme (NERS) Requirements Document
  • Effective planning and utilisation of staff to meet overall company objectives
  • Carry out forward planning to identify and recruit future resource
  • Mentor and Guide others to enable them to reach their goals
  • Motivate staff and contractors to deliver high quality work in a consistent manner
  • Reporting to the Regional Manager in the execution of the projects.

Requirements

  • Experience running electrical infrastructure construction and/ or refurbishment projects 
  • Experience running projects involving electrical services such as HV switchgear and generators and Electricity Supply Industry (DNO) experience would be an advantage.
  • Experienced in design review and a strong focus on project delivery on site
  • Experience with running electrical projects up to 33kV
  • Demonstrate effective Project Management skills
