Responsibilities

• Deliver designs for LV - 33kV substation connections.
• Represent the company when interacting with customers and individuals from other companies.
• Proactively communicate problems to the Senior Design Engineer and other functional managers to prevent Health and Safety risks, customer complaints, and commercial exposure.
• Liaise with the public to ensure smooth work implementation, always handling interactions with respect and patience.
• Engage with Construction teams to keep them consistently informed about the design status.
• Guarantee that design work aligns with both Customer and Business requirements.
• Collaborate with Business Development, ESO’s, and other Designers to develop tender, design, and construction designs.
• Effectively manage internal asset value documentation.
• Be creative in finding solutions to resource/schedule problems to maintain the project delivery program.

Requirements

• Previous design experience in the utilities or construction industry.
• Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, along with a good technical knowledge.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• A full, valid UK driving license is essential due to the nature of the role.
