Location: Remote 

About the Company: 

A well-established Multi-Utility ICP with a team of 80+ people specialising in high voltage substation design, installation, maintenance, and repair. They offer a range of private high-voltage connections and maintenance to multiple new connections across Electricity, Gas, Telecoms, and Water.

The company have doubled in size in the last year and is set to continue this growth in 2023. 

Job Summary:

They are seeking an experienced High Voltage Project Manager to join our team and lead the successful delivery of substation connection projects ranging from 11kV to 132kV. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, high voltage systems, and project management within the substation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, with a focus on high-voltage electrical systems and substation connections.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HV infrastructure, and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as needed.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary, ranging from £60,000 to £80,000, based on experience and qualifications.
