About the Role:

The Electrical Supervisor will manage and supervise electrical staff to the highest safety standards while ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards. They will also develop good relationships with clients, service providers, and customers while promoting, designing, and delivering full project management solutions.

Working on an 8 year, £100m framework contract with UKPN delivering network reinforcements, substation connections and asset replacement schemes between 11kv - 33kv.

Responsibilities:

  • As the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical staff and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. 
  • You'll also develop relationships with clients and other service providers, while promoting and delivering full project management solutions.
  • Manage projects to the highest environmental standards.
  • In addition, you'll supervise day-to-day activities of electrical staff and provide on-site training and support, ensuring consistent and high-quality training for all trainees.
  • Deliver the project at the expected level of quality, performance, safety, and cost.
  • Carry out on-site, operational, and quality audits.
  • Provide electrical expertise and support to project managers and senior authorised persons.
  • Ensure program continuity and visibility for all electrical staff.
  • All these tasks will be carried out in a way that ensures high safety standards, quality, and cost-effectiveness, and ensures that progress is adequately monitored and reported.

Requirements:

  • NRSWA Supervisor.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS
  • IOSH / NEBOSH
  • Manual Handling
  • First Aid
  • Working experience in the electrical discipline and within the electricity distribution industry.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to give and receive instructions.
  • Knowledge of specification, design, maintenance, and construction of plant and apparatus, including control and protection equipment.
  • Project management skills, forecasting, and key resourcing planning.

Reward

  • £45,000
  • £4500 car allowance
  • Optional overtime available beyond 40 hours
  • All lapsed qualifications will be paid for by the company
  • Home based with direct reporting to site (no requirement to go to the office)
