Role Overview

As a Major Projects Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all key construction sites, managing the site team, contractors, and handling key client interactions.

Projects Include design and build of 11kV - 132kV substations, switch rooms, cable routes, data centres and battery storage facilities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing the contract programme to ensure that it accurately reflects the scope of work, identifying and providing all necessary items for site setup and execution, and receiving all contract documents at the handover meeting.
  • Ensuring site safety, while the EHS department will audit the existing safety procedures and advise on all safety aspects of the project.
  • Hold weekly project meetings to ensure coordination between all areas of the project, including safety, finance, programme, design, and site teams.
  • Additionally, the Project Manager will serve as the first point of contact for client and internal team escalations, oversee project resources and performance, carry out quality audits on sub-contractors, and review project safety and QA for the entire project.

 

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ Civil Management experience with Utility/Contractor/Consultant
  • Exposure to HV power stations and substations highly desirable
  • International exposure desirable
  • People management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Team player who demonstrates high level of initiative
