The Role

You will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed tenders and designs, identifying new sales opportunities, and growing their own knowledge and experience. You will work closely with the Sales/Tendering and Delivery teams to develop tender, design and construction designs to fully meet customer and business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and apply (I)DNO G81 and IGEM-G-5-Ed.2 design standards
• Undertake MU demand calculations and design networks; undertake variations of networks as appropriate
• Understand and apply ENA ER standards where applicable
• Preparation of network records
• Liaise with UIP’s on all aspects of design
• Produce compliant designs in accordance with customer and UIP requirements/constraints
• Applying for POC’s/CSEP/Water Designs
• Produce job specific cost estimates for both proposals and contract changes

Requirements:

• Have either a recognised qualification in a technical subject, ideally electrical/gas/water/engineering and/or previous experience of working in the industry in Tendering and Design.
• Have at least a basic working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Have a full clean UK driving licence and be willing to travel throughout the UK.
