Job Description:

The Senior Authorised Person will be responsible for ensuring electrical safety management for projects that have been made safe for others to work upon while maintaining compliance with asset owner standards. They may also have Project Manager responsibilities for a portfolio of projects, ensuring their safe and timely delivery.

They’re a tier 1 contractor to DNOs across the UK and have major framework contracts in place for the maintenance and development of their 11kv - 33kv networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure projects are managed with zero harm to the highest safety standards.
  • Compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Ensure projects are managed to the highest electrical safety management standards with zero harm to network security.
  • Ensure projects meet the company's environmental standards with zero environmental impact.
  • Develop relationships with clients, service providers, architects, consultants, and end customers.
  • Design, promote and deliver full project management solutions, ensuring value for money.
  • Act as a site management interface between customer staff and service providers, ensuring resolution of site issues and project success.
  • Ensure customer service and actively work to deliver customer-facing initiatives to cultivate positive customer service and reduce complaints.

Requirements:

  • Minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with network diagram software.
  • Existing / recently lapsed DNO authorisations.
  • Ability to give direction in the application of Distribution Safety Rules, safety procedures, and codes of practice
  • Awareness of client expectations and knowledge of how to meet/exceed them.
  • Knowledge of the requirements of electrical projects and procedures required for delivery.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects within time, cost, quality, and safety parameters.
