The Company 

This is a great opportunity to work for a major name in the utilities industry within a company that offers fantastic progression opportunities. This client is an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) that has over 2 million connections across the UK. 

The Role 

As a Streetworks Team Leader, you’ll help to assist the Operations Manager in overseeing the effective management of the NRSWA Team and the company’s streetworks related activities. 

You’ll work closely with local authorities and Project Managers to deliver all aspects of the permit applications through to resignation - ensuring these are in compliance with NRSWA 1991. 

Responsibilities 

  • Use the company’s system to track and process all Streetworks noticing requirements from closure through to final resignation;
  • Ensure there is effective, timely and accurate management of noticing requirements in accordance with NRSWA;
  • Liaise with Project Management to ensure relevant information is updated in real time;
  • Produce accurate and high-quality data and reports as required, including daily NRSWA performance reports ready for review and weekly statistics to be prepared against targets;
  • Develop and provide regular business information reports and maintain KPI performance;
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process of new team members and facilitate all training, mentoring and support of new employees;
  • Effectively manage the performance of team members through performance reviews, coaching and personal development so the team can reach their full potential;
  • Manage and assist team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively;
  • Undertake other ad hoc office duties when required;
  • Effectively build effective work relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including relevant highways authorities. 

Requirements 

  • Understanding of NRSWA/Streetworks industry;
  • Experience working with Symology and producing reports on NRSWA performance tasks;
  • Managing people/proven leadership skills;
  • Knowledge on the Multi-Utility or construction industry sectors; 
  • NRSWA Supervisor accreditation.
