The Role 

As a Tendering Engineer, you’ll complete designs and costings for customer enquiries and help to generate new orders to the business. You’ll report to the Senior Tendering Engineer and help to implement the company’s practices and processes with customer satisfaction in mind - this in turn will help to support and grow the business. 

Responsibilities 

• Produce designs, costings and proposals for utility connections for new build developments;
• Provide excellent customer service by trying to exceed their expectations;
• Have effective planning techniques to meet the overall company objectives; 
• Ensure that design work is in accordance with customer and business requirements; 
• Work closely with the sales team to make our proposal to the market as commercially attractive as possible;
• Proactively escalate problems to the Senior Tendering Engineer and other managers to avoid exposure to Health & Safety risks, customer complaints and commercial exposure; 
• Liaise with colleagues across the business to ensure effective delivery of tasks and ensure project objectives are understood and met;
• Represent the company at external meetings;
• Any other duties as required by their manager. 

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering subject or equivalent (HNC/HND etc.)
• Experience working in the Tendering industry;
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation;
• Experience working within the utilities industry
