Senior Civil Design Engineer - Bristol - Up to £50,000 DOE - Substations 

The Company

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful ICP at a key stage in their growth. They specialise primarily in connecting up large scale generation assets including solar, gas and battery storage plants. They have a strong flow of work coming in from their parent company and also work with a growing list of external clients. 

The Role

The successful candidate will work as a team on the design of cable routes, foundations, drainage and other civil/ structural elements of grid connection projects. The company is accredited between LV and 132kV so projects will range in size and scale. You will also be required to assist on the design layout of power generation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing the civil and structural elements of DNO grid connection offers
• Assist with tenders
• Design civil and structural elements of connection/ substation projects
• Drainage, earthworks, access road and reinforced concrete design
• Calculate loads and stresses
• Keep health and safety at the forefront of your designs

Requirements:

We particularly encourage you to apply if majority of the below describes you:

• Degree Qualified Civil/ Structural Engineer
• Experience designing RC and steel work
• Experience of working on substation or generation projects
