The Company

You’ll join an international asset management business with over $500bn under its stewardship. In the UK, the business owns and operates gas, water, power distribution and fibre networks. You’ll join their electrical department in completing project designs between 11KV and 33KV. 

Working from their central Leicester offices, you’ll join their electrical business. They already supply several key pieces of infrastructure across the capital including football stadiums, major train stations and large residential developments.

The Role

As the Senior Design Engineer, you’ll report to the Design Director and play an integral part in the design team for electrical connections, helping to ensure compliance with Legislation and Industry Standards for substation and electrical Distribution Systems.

The role will extend to client facing responsibilities as you attend both contractor and client meetings to assist the business development teams technically.

Responsibilities 

• Attend both internal and external Design Team meetings;
• Coordinate information and share this with the electrical, fibre, gas & water designers;
• Escalate design difficulties through the appropriate organisational structure of the business;
• Manage and report milestones to the KIP Design Tracker;
• Be able to respond to client enquiries about the different utilities;
• Work with the Design Manager & Pre-Construction Director to improve processes and assist in team developments
