Tier 1 contracting business which delivers expert cabling, substation and fibre network construction services to DNOs, IDNOs and fibre companies across the South East of England.

Established around 25 years ago, the team now consists of around 250 full time colleagues. They hugely value health & safety having been awarded RoSPA Gold each year for the past 5 years.

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the delivery of major EHV cabling and substations schemes ranging from £1m - £30m. This includes budget management, oversight of direct teams and contracts and contributing to the technical solutions of the projects.

Responsibilities

• Working with the Head of Major Projects, oversee projects from cradle to grave encompassing design, delivery and commissioning communicating at Senior level both internally and externally with the client on project progress, cost and quality.
• At the design stage, provide technical input to ensure the scheme is workable and efficient.
• Lead and motivate and develop the delivery team both onsite and from the office/home
• Resolve commercial and technical issues.
• Working as the principal contractor under CDM regulations, take ownership of site health and safety matters.
• Manage the supply chain and ensure the efficient management of suppliers and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Understanding of NEC3 / FIDIC / other appropriate construction contracts.
• HNC or higher in an electrical discipline
• Knowledge of CDM regulations
• NRSWA Supervisor / knowledge of NRSWA regulations
• 5+ years of EHV delivery experience
