Role Overview

As the Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll report to the Design Manager and support the design process for producing Multi-utility quotes for new projects and developments to existing projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance of the company’s design processes to develop intended outcomes in a timely and effective way, working as part of the Design team.

Responsibilities:

• Produce technical evaluations of design to meet the company’s requirements adhering to safety, legislative and network requirements;
• Manage the design process, ensuring that new projects are recorded and approved on time;
• Updating documents and making changes to processes; 
• Work with the Operations Team and the Legal Team to ensure work is completed smoothly;
• Review customer requirements and give a broad range of electrical designs to electrical connections based on customer requirements;
• Provide project progression feedback to the Design Manager and update the company’s system accordingly;
• Process project variations with consideration to the design, commercial, client relationship and supply chain in mind.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience working on electrical design projects;
• Knowledge of industry standards as well as company policies and procedures;
• Able to liaise with DNOs/IDNOs;
• Excellent communication and attention to detail skills;
