Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the world’s foremost engineering companies. The business delivers major electrical projects across a range of sectors / customers including rail electrification, data centres, EV charging, ports and marine and T&D.

The Role

Home based, you will be responsible for evaluating client enquiries and interpreting their requirements and working closely with the sales team to produce winning bids for a range of  MV and HV substation projects (11kV - 400kV). 

Responsibilities

  • Interpret client requirements from enquiry documentation
  • Assess commercial terms and conditions
  • Formulate winning bids/ estimates/ quotations
  • Manage the preparation of all technical, financial, cash flow and operational delivery aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities in contract agreements across customers/channels.
  • Identifies potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and evaluates supplier offers to match with specifications in collaboration with Supply Chain Management.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs. Provide any necessary technical support to Sales Managers during meetings with customers.

Requirements

We particularly encourage you to apply if the below describes your skills and experience:

Essential

  • Recognised engineering qualification minimum HNC
  • HV (400kV–132kV) and MV (66kV-11kV) knowledge
  • Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and work on your own initiative.

Desirable 

  • 5 years’ Experience within Transmission & Distribution sector
  • Experience of Contract terms and conditions, NEC3/4, FIDIC, Orgalime, etc
