About the company:
My client is a large and well established ICP and Electrical Contracting business that provides electrical services from LV to 132kV. They are part of a wider group so have excellent funding for their growth strategies.
They pride themselves on their operational flexibility and their overall customer service approach.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance current design processes to reduce company risk and liability via formal validation, verification and approval prior to and during construction.
- Build an operations-based design team to strengthen design capability with regards to resource, training, competence and experience.
- Develop and maintain a suite of IUS design procedures, standards, specifications and guidance documents.
- Control design liabilities by implementing robust approval procedures to ensure all designs meet performance parameters and client expectations.
- Improve internal processes and procedures to ensure all designs completed within IUS are appropriately checked, validated, verified and approved prior to being issued for construction.
- Talent profile of all resources maintained, with high growth potential assessed and actively managed
Qualifications/ experience:
- Degree, HNC or other recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Experience designing electrical connections and networks LV to 33kV (132kV beneficial)
- Experience mentoring and developing less experienced design staff
- Experience reviewing and approving designs
- Experience developing a design approval process (beneficial)
Reward:
- Salary of £65,000 - £70,000
