The role

You’ll support the Project Manager in making sure projects run smoothly by providing expert administration and engineering support. This includes liaising with the council and other third parties for road closures and network construction updates, raising purchase orders and resolving commercial issues in addition to ensuring document control is properly managed.

Coming into this role would be an amazing pathway to becoming a Project Manager and we’d particularly encourage those with a desire for ongoing professional development to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Project Manager and various teams in relation to connection application requests.
  • Prepare customer reports on design and construction performance indicators 
  • Ensure up to date multi utility specification registers are made available and uploaded on external platforms. 
  • Using IT applications e.g Microsoft Office.
  • Speaking and liaising with customers.
  • Managing incoming client requests, issuing quotations and design requests.
  • To always promote and demonstrate a culture of health and safety within the company. 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate would have:

Essential:

  • Project Assistant and administration experience.
  • Have previous experience of working in the engineering / utilities sector.
  • Competent and experienced in utility Microsoft Office software programs

  • Have experience in working independently.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with customers.
