About the Role

We are looking for a Fibre Field Engineer to maintain, repair, and support fibre broadband network infrastructure. This is a field-based role involving fault finding, fibre repairs, customer visits, network maintenance, and emergency incident response to ensure customers receive a reliable broadband, telephone, and TV service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend customer premises to diagnose and resolve broadband, telephone, and TV service faults
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on active and passive fibre network infrastructure
  • Act as the first responder for network incidents within your region
  • Carry out fibre splicing, testing, and fault-finding activities
  • Use OTDR testing equipment to identify and diagnose network faults
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on network assets
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and standards
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
  • Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota, including weekends and public holidays
  • Provide on-site support to Network Operations Centre functions when required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working on FTTH (Fibre to the Home) networks
  • Fibre splicing experience
  • Experience using OTDR testing equipment and analysing results
  • Full UK driving licence
