Description

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing LV - 11kV electrical networks/ connections. A typical project would be a forecourt owner looking to install EV charging points and also upgrade their electrical connection to facilitate this. 

In addition to this you would also be responsible for coordinating with other specialist engineers to create the best possible overall designs and providing technical support during client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Designing LV - 11kV electrical networks and connections
• Working DNOs and IDNOs to get connections approved.
• Ensure designs are completed within the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Be creative in finding solutions to resource / reschedule problems to maintain the project delivery programme
• Proactively escalate problems to the Senior Design Engineer and other managers to avoid Health & Safety risks, customer complaints and commercial exposure;
• Provide support to PMs and site staff during the construction and commissioning phase

Requirements:

• Experience designing 11kV connections
• Either a degree in or significant experience in electrical engineering
• Experience using windebut
• Experience working for an ICP, IDNO, DNO or HV electrical contractor
