About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in the utilities infrastructure sector. You’ll shape bids, build strong client relationships, and drive long-term growth aligned with our capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across the utilities infrastructure
- Build and maintain strong relationships with housebuilders, developers, and consultants
- Lead or support bids, tenders, and proposals, ensuring competitive, compliant submissions
- Collaborate with technical, commercial, and delivery teams to shape pricing strategies and risk assessments
- Attend industry events and stakeholder meetings to promote the business
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and market intelligence
Candidate Profile - What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles in utilities or infrastructure
- Knowledge of utilities infrastructure markets, procurement models, and regulatory environments
- Experience developing and winning major bids or long-term framework contracts
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strategic thinker, relationship-driven, and customer-focused
- Proactive, resilient, and results-oriented
Requirements
- Strong operational understanding of utilities infrastructure sectors
- Experience in electric, gas, water, or renewable energy infrastructure is desirable
- Ability to work in complex, regulated environments
- Relevant commercial, business development, or engineering qualifications are advantageous
