About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in the utilities infrastructure sector. You’ll shape bids, build strong client relationships, and drive long-term growth aligned with our capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across the utilities infrastructure
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with housebuilders, developers, and consultants
  • Lead or support bids, tenders, and proposals, ensuring competitive, compliant submissions
  • Collaborate with technical, commercial, and delivery teams to shape pricing strategies and risk assessments
  • Attend industry events and stakeholder meetings to promote the business
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and market intelligence

Candidate Profile - What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles in utilities or infrastructure
  • Knowledge of utilities infrastructure markets, procurement models, and regulatory environments
  • Experience developing and winning major bids or long-term framework contracts
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker, relationship-driven, and customer-focused
  • Proactive, resilient, and results-oriented

Requirements

  • Strong operational understanding of utilities infrastructure sectors
  • Experience in electric, gas, water, or renewable energy infrastructure is desirable
  • Ability to work in complex, regulated environments
  • Relevant commercial, business development, or engineering qualifications are advantageous
