The Company

A successful utilities company that owns and operates its own gas and electrical networks with over 70,000 customers; which includes a mix of residential, commercial and industrial utility networks. They were Surrey’s fastest growing business a couple of years ago and have gone from strength to strength since then, really capitalizing on the increase in demand for utility connections.

This is a good opportunity to join a growing business in a key area which is projected to grow significantly over the medium term.

The Role

The successful candidate will work as part of a high performing team, producing detailed, data led and commercially viable customer quotes in a specialist and technical environment meeting customer service level agreements to support asset acquisition success.

It is a hugely exciting time for the Pricing department with water quotes being introduced and the launch of our automated quoting system in the second half of this year.

Full training is provided but you are expected to be analytical, work well under pressure and be good with data.

Responsibilities

Training on the below is provided:

  • Produce quotes for asset acquisition using pre-built in house financial models
  • Liaise with customers and internal Account Managers to enable quote provision and acceptance
  • Handle customer and internal queries around asset value quotations and the asset adoption processes.
  • Manage quotes using Dynamics 365
  • Management of accepted quote contracts
  • Produce standard reports and analysis to support quote creation and approval
  • Regulatory and fund reporting where required.

Requirements

We particularly encourage you to apply if the majority of the below applies to you.

  • Commercially astute and good general business acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for when dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Good microsoft office skills, especially excel
  • University degree (preferably involving maths, statistics or data analysis) or relevant experience
  • Understanding of financial modelling (not essential)
