About the Role
We are looking for a Installation Engineer to lead on-site network delivery. You will manage installations from street cabinets to customer premises, coordinate with site teams and subcontractors, and ensure high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee on-site health, safety, and wellbeing, including risk assessments and audits
- Install, splice, test, and commission fibre networks (OH & UG) and hand over to customers
- Assist with new street cabinet installations and 3rd party connections
- Locate and repair network faults using OTDR, OPM, LFD, and VFL
- Maintain accurate records of work, tests, and site progress
- Ensure all work meets quality, technical, and budget standards
- Support process improvement and team coordination on live sites
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in fibre-optic installation, splicing, testing, and distribution
- NRSWA and PIA accreditations (minimum SA002 and N23)
- Strong understanding of UK telecoms networks
