About the Role:
To lead the bulk connection process with incumbents and support in the design assessment, modelling review and inspection of the wastewater distribution networks and off-site points of discharge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design review, modelling, and technical assurance of surface water and foul water assets (sewers, manholes, pumping stations, rising mains, SuDS/attenuation) to latest adoption and industry standards.
- Manage and support the Section 104 adoption process, coordinating with developers, solicitors, incumbent water companies, and internal teams to progress schemes to completion.
- Provide technical advice and wastewater modelling to resolve design queries, ensure networks are fit for purpose, and delivered to client timescales.
- Support asset inspection, surveying, and final adoption, ensuring smooth transition from construction to operation and maintenance.
- Work closely with construction, asset management, and operations teams to develop cost-effective adoption and maintenance strategies aligned with capital plans.
- Drive risk mitigation and innovation, including adoption of new technologies to improve operational and financial performance.
Qualifications
- Hold a suitable recognised engineering or scientific qualification.
- Experience in the wastewater industry in relation to below ground asset design and installation.
