The Opportunity:

One of the UKs biggest and best independent utility network provider is looking for several graduate planning engineers to join them and work out of their Woolpit design office. Responsibilities:

Under the training and guidance of the design manager/ senior design engineers you will be expected to:

  • Undertake utility demand calculations and design last mile utility networks
  • Preparation of network records using CAD and other systems
  • Apply for connection points for water, gas and electric
  • Liaise with other departments to progress approved networks in the design process.
  • Issue data and reports in line with current business requirements.
  • Maintain and improve consistent accuracy of data asset records.
  • Complete design-based risk assessment and environmental risk assessments

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Have a recognised technical qualification (BEng or BSc degree in a technical / engineering related subject preferred).
  • Mechanical and Electrical Engineering backgrounds are particularly useful, as are Geography degrees where some GIS experience has been gained

Beneficial:
