About the Role

Our client is seeking a SSE Authorised HV/LV Cable Jointer. You will be responsible for the safe installation, commissioning, and maintenance of multi-utility electrical infrastructure, ensuring all works are carried out to the highest safety and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures, and wearing appropriate PPE.
• Install and commission multi-utility electrical infrastructure in accordance with approved method statements and technical standards.
• Accept deliveries of plant and materials, ensuring all equipment is fit for purpose prior to use.
• Conduct daily site-specific risk assessments and maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in excellent condition, reporting any defects promptly.
• Record and submit work details accurately for compliance and invoicing purposes.
• Participate actively in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and ongoing training.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

• DNO operational authorisation (SSE).
  NRSWA certificate for operatives.
• CSCS card.
• City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering.
• Proven experience in LV/HV cable jointing and working on both public highways and development sites.
