About the Role:
We are seeking an Asset Surveyor to support asset delivery across potable and wastewater networks. This field-based role involves reviewing designs, inspecting construction, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and safely. You will work closely with developers, contractors, and internal teams to maintain the highest standards in network delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct wastewater network site inspections, including pumping stations.
  • Review wastewater scheme designs and provide technical support.
  • Coordinate installations with incumbents, contractors, and developers.
  • Ensure programmes of work for asset inspections are delivered on time.
  • Investigate operational events and report findings.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement of design and approval processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of water and wastewater networks.
  • Ability to provide technical support on strategic points of connection and discharge.
  • Strong organisational skills to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partners, contractors, and developers.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in Maths and Science (A-levels or degree in engineering desirable).
  • Experience in water industry developer services or similar background.
  • Knowledge of housing developments, network design, installation, commissioning, and operations.
  • Understanding of current legislation, technical standards, and codes of practice relating to water/wastewater networks.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office; CAD knowledge is a plus.
  • Health & Safety competent; SMSTS and CSCS card desirable.
  • Confined space training and experience in training others is advantageous.
