The Client
Our client is a growing infrastructure delivery business, enabling next-generation connectivity for consumers and businesses. They provide end-to-end gigabit network delivery, including design, planning, surveying, installation, commissioning, and activation. Specialising in telecoms with expanding ICP power capabilities (11kV) and ambitions in multi-utilities, the client has positioned themselves as a trusted delivery partner.
The Role
This is a key operational leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational delivery, ensuring safety and quality, and developing a high-performing team. This role will provide strategic and day-to-day operational leadership as the business enters its next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee operations, project delivery, safety, quality, and compliance.
- Manage and develop a diverse operational team, including project managers, site teams, and back-office staff.
- Drive operational efficiency, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee multi-utility operations including civils, fibre, power, and water.
- Analyse and interpret operational data, providing insight to support business decisions.
- Support client relationships and ensure smooth delivery across national projects.
- Work closely with the MD and CEO to achieve growth, profitability, and client delivery targets.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in multi-utility operations desirable (telecoms, civils, ICP power, water).
- Strong background in civil engineering.
- Proven experience managing teams of a similar size (operational, site-based, and back-office).
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and reporting systems; able to analyse and interpret data effectively.

- Demonstrable leadership capability with the ability to balance strategic oversight and operational delivery.
Package & Benefits
● Salary: £85,000
● Car allowance or Commercial Vehicle.
● Generous bonus scheme (typically 20–50%).
● Monday-Friday, office-based in Sidcup with site visits.
