About the Role
The client is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Engineer to manage heat and cooling assets, oversee service providers, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage maintenance activities, energy centres, and operational performance.
- Lead contractor performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Deliver excellent customer service and liaise with staff, clients, and service providers.
- Implement plant policies and process improvements.
- Ensure heat metering equipment operates correctly, so customers receive timely, accurate bills and minimise the potential for disputed accounts.
- Support Water and Heat Emergency Response Team as a tier 2 on-call representative.
Ideal Candidate:
- Operational experience with heating, cooling, or energy distribution assets.
- Contractor management and financial oversight experience.
- Strong knowledge of asset management, industry standards, and HSE compliance.
- Degree in engineering or relevant training/apprenticeship.
- IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications are desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
