About the Role

The client is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Engineer to manage heat and cooling assets, oversee service providers, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage maintenance activities, energy centres, and operational performance.
• Lead contractor performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Deliver excellent customer service and liaise with staff, clients, and service providers.
• Implement plant policies and process improvements.
• Ensure heat metering equipment operates correctly, so customers receive timely, accurate bills and minimise the potential for disputed accounts.
• Support Water and Heat Emergency Response Team as a tier 2 on-call representative.

Ideal Candidate:

• Operational experience with heating, cooling, or energy distribution assets.
• Contractor management and financial oversight experience.
• Strong knowledge of asset management, industry standards, and HSE compliance.
• Degree in engineering or relevant training/apprenticeship.
• IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications are desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
