Company Overview:
The client is an award-winning Independent Connection Provider (ICP) specialising in the design and delivery of multi-utility infrastructure including electricity, water, gas, and fibre connections for residential, commercial, and industrial developments across the UK.
Purpose of the Role:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in lighting design and be capable of delivering designs for a variety of schemes, including private developments, S38 new housing projects, and local authority highway lighting upgrades or removals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with developers to determine project scope and provide quotations for design work.
- Create lighting designs using Lighting Reality, DIALux, Relux, and AutoCAD.
- Generate cable calculations and schematic diagrams using Amtech or similar tools.
- Coordinate with Local Authorities for lighting assessments and design approvals.
- Understand DNO/IDNO LV networks to determine column power supplies.
- Advise clients on existing lighting issues.
Requirements:
- ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma (Modules 1–4).
- Fully conversant with BS:5489 (Road Lighting Code of Practice).
- Proficient in AutoCAD and ability to read and interpret working drawings.
- Familiarity with G39 – Working near DNO equipment.
- BS7671 18th Edition wiring regulations (preferred).
- ILP Membership (current).
