About the Role:
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Commercial Analyst will play a key role in delivering data-driven insights and supporting financial performance across all multi-utility projects. You’ll work closely with quantity surveyors, project managers, and operational teams to optimise planning, procurement, and delivery processes. This is a high-impact role suited to someone with strong analytical capabilities, commercial awareness, and a desire to influence business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and report data across finance, procurement, operations and commercial teams
- Streamline processes in areas such as Work in Progress (WIP) and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
- Produce KPI dashboards and reporting packs to track performance and targets
- Oversee commercial controls across live projects, ensuring governance and accuracy
- Maintain and manage asset value records across all ongoing developments
- Support pricing strategy, budget control, and cost analysis in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Assist with system implementation, including data migration and new process design
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance commercial performance
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong analytical skills, with high proficiency in Excel; Power BI experience is an advantage
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail, especially when handling financial or technical data
- Clear and confident communicator with the ability to present insights accessibly
- Proactive, inquisitive mindset with a desire to learn and improve
- Team player who can also work independently when required
- Desirable: experience in a commercially focused or data-driven role within utilities, construction, or infrastructure
