About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Senior EHV Cost Estimator to lead the pricing and surveying of new EHV connection projects. You’ll be responsible for producing accurate, compliant cost estimates across DNO, IDNO, and ICP schemes, covering all aspects from materials and plant to access and labour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of quotations from drawings and specifications within defined timelines.
- Undertake on-site surveys and risk assessments, evaluating technical and commercial risks.
- Assess alternative delivery solutions and advise on commercial implications.
- Review third-party documents and engineering specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with Procurement to source competitive subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Produce formal quotation documentation aligned to project scope and client expectations.
- Liaise closely with operational colleagues throughout the tender and handover process.
- Attend internal handover meetings to clearly communicate estimate assumptions, risks, and scope.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in an estimating or delivery role within EHV/Transmission projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of EHV overhead installations including conductors, insulators, and substations.
- Familiarity with ICP, IDNO, and DNO frameworks and cost structures.
