Our client is one of the biggest independent network owners in the UK and a leading independent provider of multi-utility networks across the UK. They design, build, own and operate essential electricity infrastructure for new-build housing and commercial developments.

About the Role 

This is a key position supporting the ongoing management and performance of electricity network assets. As the Senior Asset Engineer, you will lead a team and support the client’s Asset Manager in ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of asset inspection, maintenance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the Asset Engineer team in completing maintenance and remedial works across the electricity network
  • Ensure all asset-related works are completed to regulatory and company standards, within time and budget
  • Review asset audit findings and determine priority actions
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance policies, standards, and documentation
  • Assist in the selection, type testing, and approval of electrical apparatus
  • Support the implementation of technical and safety standards across the network

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Background in the design, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of electricity distribution systems (up to 33kV)
  • Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation
  • Able to write and interpret technical standards
  • Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Full UK driving licence
