The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to help design contestable connections between 11kV - 33kV for a broad range of end clients and industries. You’ll benefit from the support of an excellent team, an attentive line manager and a well distributed workload.

You’ll work closely with colleagues from the civil design team, the protection and control engineers and external clients / landowners and see the project through from initial design to project completion giving full exposure to all parts of the process.

The position will report to the Senior Electrical Designer and is to be the contestable designer on specific projects. This will involve undertaking the electrical design, being responsible for compiling suitable contestable submissions, and to then see this through to gaining contestable approval and providing support to the end of the construction phase.

Experience

• 3+ years experience in undertaking contestable designs for electrical connections to UK requirements
• Degree or similar electrical qualification
• AutoCad
• Earthing design
• Electrical Studies (P28, P29, G5/4 etc),
• Protection and AC/DC schematics
• Cable sizing

Reward

• Up to £35k - £45k basic salary
• 25 days + Bank Holidays
